End-of-Life Care at Heritage Heights
The comforts of home with 24/7 support from specially trained staff
The End-of-life Care program at Heritage Heights has been created to assure residents can be as comfortable as possible in a home like setting while they are passing. It’s important to give the person who is dying a sense of comfort, while their families can be assured their loved one has the caring support 24/7 from our specially trained staff.
Ensuring you or your loved one enjoys the highest possible quality of life while facing a life-limiting condition or illness.
Specialized Care
Our program allows for family and friends to come and go freely which also gives the person who is dying a sense of comfort. Services such as visiting nurses as well as special equipment, such as a hospital bed or bedside commode, will be arranged by Hospice Services to be in the resident’s apartment if needed.
As comfortable as possible
Our staff will work closely with the resident’s community physician and the Hospice team to learn the specific details of the type of comfort care needed to make the dying person as comfortable as possible.
Caring for someone who is at home at the end of life can be physically, emotionally, and financially demanding for the people providing the care. Extra support from our facility and staff can be extremely valuable to the entire family and especially the primary care giver. Our program allows for people previously cared for at home, to transition to our facility to get the help and support when they need it most.
